The Situation
I was tasked with creating the 25–26 basketball roster announcement graphic. This was the first big project of the internship. I suggested the concept of a yearbook-style graphic, and the coach gave me the green light.
Yearbook Spread
The Task
I needed to showcase returning players, newcomers, and staff in a creative, yearbook-inspired way. Being successful to me would be for the target audience to acknowledge the playfulness and creativity of the graphic/announcement.
The Action
For this project I did a lot of research on real yearbook layouts, experimented with fonts and colors, and refined multiple designs until I found a layout that fit all the players and staff across two 1080x1350 spreads. I also incorporated a yearbook-style cover and a yearbook cover mockup to give the project more detail.

The Result
The graphic received strong positive feedback from coaches, players, other graphic designers, and alumni. I was really proud of this project because it was my first project for the basketball team which I had full creative reign for and I was able to tap into more of my creative side. Overall, I was able to accomplish my goal because I was able to showcase the team in a fashionable manner.
